Why it is important to follow manufacturers instructions & organisational procedures when dealing with....?

For every direction and instruction there is a reason (i.e. the one on the hair dryer that says "do not use in the shower"). These directions protect the equipment from abuse and the person using the equipment from injuring or killing themselves.
