If you've ever been to Italy, or you live in Italy?

Are tattoos popular like they are in the USA? I'm wanting to move out to Italy with an occupation as a tattoo artist. But if tattoos aren't very popular out there, I need to rethink my plans. Please only answer this if you know what you're talking about. Last time I posted this question I got two responses, and neither were relevant to the question. Thank you (:
