What would you think of this story?

Its based from the Cinderella story, with a few changes; her country was honored the goddess and the virgin Mary, until a Patriarchal Christian sect with images of burning witches, Jezebels, Potiphar's Wife, of Babylon and Delilah, took over the country and repressed all the women and called the 'serpents'. The stepmother and stepsisters are not cruel but repressed into meekness, pivity and distrust Cinderella because of her 'unfeminine ways'. It is her stepfather and stepbrothers who abuse and beat her until she agrees to submit. But she ran into the forest where she found a statue of the Goddess/Virgin Mary and wept beside it, she was about to give in but an old Pagan woman appeared along with owls and black cats and became her fairy-godmother. the girl saw in the clouds appeared the shape of the Queen of Heaven winking at her. And when the girl was crowned queen (the prince had an illness and needed a queen to take over after he dies) she was about to execute her stepmother and sisters for their alleged cruelty, but then she had a vision of the Heavenly queen weeping and asked her to have mercy (reciting Shakespeare's The quality of Mercy is not strained) and the girl realized she had let her anger cloud her judgment, she forgave her stepmother/sisters and invited them to stay, and slowly the patriarchal religion diminished.
