Which engineering is better n has more career options.Electrical or Telecommunication.?

you decide: an electrical engineer has 90% of the same courses as the telecom engr, and can do the telecom job, even if he has to do some studying. However, no one is going to hire a telecom engr to do power distribution or size a substation. So, it seems to me that those who say that electrical is the backbone probably gave a correct answer. if by "wider scope" (this must be an Indian terminology, since I never see it used that way by others) you mean " more jobs available today", that might be true, but what about versatility in 5 or 10 years?
