How do you handle an overbearing mother and father in law?

the story is kinda lengthy but to shorten it up, my Fiance's parents are beyond overbearing. His father is all up in his fianances and his mom fights for his attention and time with me. its getting out of control. what can i do? my fiance tells me to just deal with it but honestly how can you? any advice would be helpful.
