I really want to be a doctor help?

I really wanted to be a doctor all my life, but this year i also got ill missed the whole of this year and a lot of last year of school and i am predicted an A* for the sciences and A for maths, but i was told by several doctors and careers advisors as well as the universities themselves that because I probably won't do as well in my other GCSE's that i would not be accepted into any medical school, despite my health problems. However i was told that if I could complete a degree in pharmacy or biomedicine and then move on to do a postgraduate medical degree to become i doctor, i really hope you find this answer informative, and I'm sorry you have had a difficult year.
