Is this true about Paradise Lost, Book I? I will need a source to prove that it is true.?

In Book I Milton describes the fall of the angels from heaven and how they become minions of the devil. Within the first 191 lines of Book I, there is a discourse between Satan and Beelzebub after their defeat to God and their banishment to Hell . Milton portrays the character of Satan as thoughtful, but also manipulative; evident from how he persuaded other angels in their fall from heaven. Satan also describes the battle between God and his fallen angels from Line 544-621 where “through the gloom were seen| Ten thousand banners rising into the air| With orient colours waving...” this is where Milton wishes to create a stark contrast between the forces of God and the forces of Satan and show how easily Satan was defeated. We as an audience are allowed to feel sympathetic towards Satan, but this is purely as we hear this tale from his point of view; thus Milton manipulates the reader to feel sympathy for the Devil incarnate.
